Stages of treatment
Stages of orthodontic treatment:
- The first consultation, during which an interview and examination of the patient takes place
- The visit, during which photos of the patient's face and teeth are taken, the impressions for diagnostic models are made and X-rays pictures are taken (orthopantomogram and cefalometric X-ray)
- presentation of the treatment plan and cost estimation
- bonding of the fixed appliance or taking impressions for the removable appliance (or putting the pre-fabricated appliance)
- control visits, during which the appliance is being activated, eventually the new photos of the patient’s face and teeth are taken (showing the progress of treatment)
- finishing of an active treatment - in the case of fixed appliance the brackets are taken off and the retention appliances are made (in the form of a wire glued to the lingual surface of the front teeth or in the form of a removable splint/ retention plate)
- the retention phase - the control of the maintenance of the results obtained during active orthodontic treatment
The sequel of treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring:
- The first consultation, during which an interview and examination of the patient takes place
- The impression for the appliance fabrication
- placement of the appliance, instruction on the principles of the appliance use (taking off and putting on, proper hygiene)
- start of the titration of the appliance
- control visits
