It is recommended to perform hygienic procedures regularly every 6-12 months to have teeth healthy, fit and with nice appearance.
While orthodontic treatment (especially with fixed appliance) the frequency of these procedures might require to be even higher.
Hygienisation is a painless procedure, performed in our office by qualified personnel.
It involves the removal of the so-called scale/calculus and plaque from the surface of teeth.
This process can be done manually or using special equipment (Ultrasonic scaling).
In our office, both methods are used, with a predominance of the manual method which guarantees obtainment of smoother surface of the teeth.
In some cases, we also provide sandblasting (removal of sediment with grains of sand).
